Company history
The company was established as a state-owned enterprise pursuant to the Decision No. 22 / QD-UB dated February 15, 1982 by the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City with the name of "Import and Export Partnership Company" abbreviated AGRIMEXCO that belonged to Deaprtment of Agriculture and Rural Development and controlled by the Ministry of Agriculture Rural Development and the People"s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. Main activity was export of agricultural products.
On July 2, 1983, the Import and Export Partnership Company was changed into Agricultural Product Processing & Exporting State-owned Enterprise belonging to HCM Deaprtment of Agriculture and Rural Development pursuant to Decision No. 109/QD-UB issued by the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. Main activity was processing agricultural products to supply the HCM General Export Import Corporation for export.
On January 2, 1985, the Agricultural Product Processing & Exporting State-owned Enterprise was changed into Agricultural Products Explotation and Production Export Company abbreviated Agricutural Products Supplying Company belonging to HCM Deaprtment of Agriculture and Rural Development pursuant to Decision No. 01 / QD-UB issued by the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
Achievement
- In 1995, AGRIMEXCO was awarded with 3rd Grade Labour Order, and in 1998 was awarded with 2nd Grade Labour Order by State President of Vietnam .
- Successively from 1992 to 2001, 2003 and up to 2007, AGRIMEXCO won “Competation Flag” and “Certificates of Merit” from HCM City People’s Committee.
- Obtaining ISO 9001:2000 Certificate on Jan. 29, 2008 for meeting UKAS quality management requirements from SGS Systems & Services Certification Organization. The current version is 2015.
- AGRIMEXCO experienced many years of operation in import export trading field. Its annual turnover averaged over USD 20,000,000. Thanks to the Management Board of dynamic, skilled, experiened members’ control, AGRIMEXCO has been strengthening and developing unceasingly in the trading field. AGRIMEXCO now has biz relations with more than 700 companies of over 50 nations & territories worldwide.
